
Susan Huebert, L.S.C.S.W.
Susan Huebert is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker with two decades of experience working with individuals, couples, and
families. Susan was born and raised in Wichita. She graduated from Wichita
Northwest High School in 1982. She then graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Social
Work in 1986 from Wichita State University. She earned her Master of Social Work degree in 1987 from the University of Kansas through
their advanced standing program. She has completed additional training in clinical social work, individual therapy, family therapy, grief
counseling, play therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (a treatment research has found to be very effective for Post
Traumatic Stress Disorder).
Counseling and Christian Counseling:
Susan has been in private practice offering individual, family, and couple’s counseling since 1997. She
has been a licensed social worker counseling Wichita and South Central Kansas residents since 1986. She works with clients of
all faiths, however, she is a Christian and especially enjoys Christian counseling.
Previous Employment:
Before starting her private practice, Susan was employed as a social worker for ten years. She was employed by the State of Kansas, by Hospice, Inc. (which is now Harry Hynes Memorial
Hospice), and by the Wichita Public Schools. She gained a wealth of experience
counseling people of diverse ages, problems, and circumstances. She is especially experienced in
grief/loss counseling, therapy for behavior problems, and therapy for depression, anxiety, and trauma.
