Alison (Smith) Twomey, L.M.S.W. is no longer practicing at Wichita Counseling & Coaching Center. EDUCATION: Alison Twomey is a Licensed
Masters level Social Worker (LMSW). She received her Masters
degree in Social Work from Wichita State University and
a Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of
Kansas (KU).
Alison has training and
experience treating adult and child survivors of domestic
violence, adults struggling with parenting issues, child
behavioral issues, and anxiety and depression.
Alison especially enjoys
working with children, adolescents and their families as
well as using sandtray therapy as a tool in therapy.
PREVIOUS
EMPLOYMENT:
Alison has worked as a Child
Therapist at a local domestic violence shelter as well as
an Outpatient Therapist at a Community Mental Health
Center. Currently, in addition to private practice, she is
employed as a Social Worker who provides social and
behavioral interventions to children ages birth-3 and their
families in a home based setting.
